you saw the concept....

I have been following this car very closely on GMInsideNews and from whats been going on there the G8 will have neither HUD or NAV.

GM vehicles for sale in North America don't get nav as an option unless they are Caddys or SUVs, for the same reason that they don't get bluetooth (only one GM vehicle for sale in the US has bluetooth)-OnStar. GM wants you to pay them every month for thier OnStar services. Foreign versions of Saabs, the G8, and the Astra get nav and/or bluetooth, but US versions don't for this reason.

Really?

Cuz if GM wants to play with the big boys in the sport sedan world, it better have Nav in its upper crust trim level G8.

I've read there will be a typical radio, and one available with a large color screen (NAV sized).

I have to agree with you on that. At this level of competition, NAV had better at least be an option. Times are changing and buyer'* expectations have changed with the times.

I hate to bring it up again, but the Aurora in 02+ offered a factory NAV, as well as the GP GXP. So, why praytell, won't the G8 have one? Doesn't make a lick of sense if only the Caddys and SUV'* are privied to it.

The Australian version of that var doesn't have one. And none of the concepts released have had NAV of a HUD... consensus is that unless they build all of the G8'* here in North America and do not import them they would not have HUD or NAV. Tooling down under would be to expensive. as I said I have followed this car very very closely on GMInsideNews. Now I'm not saying I know how the General thinks, But I do not expect this car to roll out with Nav. And pray it is an option in the GXP also hoping the GXP isn't AWD.
