Thanks all.

Man I am finally home. I never realized how uncomfortable I was at the hospital until I got home to my recliner and about passed out.

Mother and son will be coming home tomorrow. The hospital staff can not believe how well my wife is doing, just having some pretty major surgery 2 days ago. She hasn't had any pain medication (other than motrin) and was up and walking around yesterday morning.

My mother-in-law will be staying with us until Wednesday around noon and then my mother will be here until Saturday to help out around the house. My wife is restricted to lift nothing but the baby for atleast a week. Having someone else here to help us should make the transition much more bearable.

Congrats, he is just beautiful. Remember to kiss his face off at least once a day, and enjoy every moment you have with him.

We are all home and doing fine. Kaleb hasn't had too much difficulty adapting to the new environment here at home. In fact, he just ate and is sleeping peacefully right now.

On the "what happens 16 years from now" thing. Well, I hope to buy some kind of muscle car (or who knows maybe a bonneville) for my son to build up like I did my Chevelle. I know for a fact that the Chevelle will be here when he turns 16. If I had my way, the bonneville would be too, but that will all have to work out.

See I bought my Chevelle when I was 14 and worked on it for 2 years before I could drive it. I would love for my son to have the same experience with his first car. If it takes me buying a workable shell for him (due to the rising costs of muscle cars), then so be it, but I want him to work on it himself so he developes the bond that I have with my Chevelle. So many of the kids today have their cars given to them and drive them like they stole them ALL of the time. I don't want my kids to grow up that way at all. I want them to respect their cars and be able to take very good care of them.

Anyway, thanks for all the congrats. Hopefully the next couple of years go as easy as the first couple of days have gone.
