I planned to install a CCTV Security System at my house today. During my crawling around in the attic with the 4 - 60' sections of video/power cable; I have ended up shorting out three on the power side and have not bothered to check the fourth one. I'm done...need to go order new friggin cable.

I've never, ever, done this in all the times I have installed alarm, surround sound and CCTV systems.

Dang, been there too. I ran a whole box of cat5 once only to find the box was bad. Better luck next time.

I strung a CAT 5 also today. Too scared to test it and to frustrated to continue for the day.

After that I learned to test all new boxes of cable.

I've got so much wireless stuff bounding around this house that I'm sure it'* making me sterile..or at least give me pity party excuse for going bald.

Hmmm, that might explain a few things here.

ROFL! I just had to put that, I got a wireless setup to connect the bedroom TV to the Living room one. So now all I have to have in the bedroom is the TV and the wireless box behind it. Hey, wireless is everywhere. Even my air conditioner and ceiling fans have remotes. Computer/modem/printer/keyboard/mouse/home phone/car start/dvd~vcr........ I even saw window blinds the other day at Lowes with remotes. LOL

What I like is a in dash stereo with a remote. What, you can't move your arm that extra 6 inches to change the volume?
