I can't believe it has already been 7 years
Nobody at school seemed to care except for me and some of the teachers, I remember exactly where I was sitting, front row, third seat from the right in 5th grade.
most parents took their kids out of school early, my dad came and told me what happened, I didn't realize how bad it was then, I was 11, I remember nothing went well after that for the whole week, I was in our Cherokee almost crying (although not strictly because of that, I was still too young to realize), but that was one of the reasons I was sad, We went to my cousins and saw it on the news, right after school.
my history teacher has some interesting stories about that day, he was right across in NJ at college
