injector malfunction (non 3800)

It stays running because it is NOT cutting out the iginition circuit, it'* cutting the fuel circuit (injectors). Since you poured fuel straight into the chambers, it will run on that until it can't anymore. Check to see if you a running a cut key or the factory key. Also check to see if the security light is on.

A work-around is this: leave the key in the "run" position for 10 minutes. This resets the security feature IIRC. After that, try starting it then.
