At least the people developing alternative fuels are trying to change or make a difference. The fact is that we have to develop something in order to replace what'* currently in use, and it'* not just going to pop up in your head, it will take years and years of development, and trial and error. There was a time in human history when change was frowned upon, it was called the dark ages, I believe.
