The point of it would be that the aircraft does not have to get so close to the hot zone risking taking fire or being detected. They can dump the soldiers from farther away and from higher altitudes to increase them getting into the area without being noticed as easy. It would be easier to suprise an enemy.
Example: The enemy spots the aircraft coming in and prepares for an assault on whoever decides to exit it. With the glider by the time they see the troops they are almost on the ground and do not have as much time to react if they do detect them.

But we already have means of injecting handfuls of troops undetected, I don't see what this buys us except protecting the 'ride' better at the expense of the men. Men are not invisible to radar and I doubt the wings will have any stealth properties beyond a radar absorbing paint so whats there to gain? 5 radar blips instead of one big one?
Now if these could be modified so they could rapidly dump their kinetic energy and land super quick, like a hangglider, then there might be something to that but what I see in the video isn't any better than a halo jump imo.
