Yeah opps, i had a brain fart, i knew boat was only 17. Really.

But yes, the vette didn't feel faster cause it has the engine break in chip.

I didn't know that. Is it a switch like if you are in an 18-wheeler, Or is it just built in as soon as you let off the accelorator? I know the trucks have a 2cyl-4cyl switch for the jake brake and it makes a lovely noise when the truck slow down.

A guy who works with my brother in law informed him about it becuase he just got a new base model vette.

It is a chip that limits the power the engine makes until a set number of miles. At that time the car will make the power that it was designed to make. It'* basiclly so you don't stomp on her when shes brand new and wreck the rings.

very smart of those GM engineers! I bet that was the #1 reason for early mechanical failure too .
