x2. I have seen exhausts dragging, exhausts barreling various types of smoke, overheating cars to the point where the paint could curl up off the hood, cars with no back brakes or front brakes, even ones with 2-3 lugnuts missing off a 5 lug wheel! I'll tell ya, the things people do.....

And the worst part is, you know they're doing just enough to keep the car on the road - in other words, perpetuating a road hazard and putting the rest of us at risk.

Exactly. When my Dad had his Cavalier 5 year back, a muffler from a Ferd truck in front of us fell off, and slammed right into the front end of the car, destroying the grille and took a chunk out of the bumper. It was just a Cavalier, but boy was my Dad peed off. All the guy said was "Oh I'm sorry, I was gonna fix it, but I guess I will have to now."
