Lounge For casual talk about things unrelated to General Motors. In other words, off-topic stuff. And anything else that does not fit Section Description.

I have a question!

Or a Ford Tarus..

Defeat is in my future :(
What'* wrong with the Baby Blue/Silver Stratus?...if I would have found one of those in a V6, I would have been all over it. I would suggest going Private Party if you could, but I understand the fact you have to sell off your old vehicle. It just seems like you would save so much money on a car going the Private Party route. I know it did me a lot of good...if only you spend the time (a lot of time).

yea I could go private party if I didn't have a $7,100 piece of **** hanging around me....so therefore it restricts me to a dealership where I will get raped on the price....

I want a new car but /I hate going through the "search" for one. Because my parents wont let me have any say on what I want..It'* always what they want...like I told them in no way whatso ever did I want an Explorer....well they wanted me to have one so guess whta I ended up with and look at the headaches...

Try to find a happy medium. My dad and I spent alot of time trying to find my GA. In the end, I was thrilled with the car I got, the amount I spent on it and my parents were just as happy. Trust me, this wasn't the car I thought I wanted to end up with...but it worked out, it usually does. I was in a difficult situation because no way, no how was I going to take out a loan for my car so I had a definate budget.

The only car I can buy without taking out a loan is a 1980 Ford Escort. I don't exactly make big bucks and my parents don't help me out with cars so I have to rely on a loan. I will not be happy with a car until I get EXACTLY what I want...and what I want is $50,000 plus taxes, title and other fees....so yea....and I really do NOT want to go from Leather to Cloth...makes me wanna cry....

Personally...I'm with Jason on the dependabilty.....I'd take a 92-95 any day of the week over new....And if money'* not flowing very well....Unless your parent'* are gonna help you on the loan payments......I don't think newer is better?

OH H*ll NO!! say its not so, what is wrong with the Aurora ?? it will save you some cash + looks good.
$1000 more you could have the SSEi and I have to say puts the Stratus to shame
if you need to tone it down some look for an SSE or SLE
do some homework, call up your insurance agent and get some quotes, I think youll find that Bonnevilles are less than the others due to all the safety features they have Except maybe the SSEI . I mite be wrong but its worth a shot
The thing is if your the one making the payments than it should be something that makes you happy. your the one going to get stuck with what ever you get for a long time .
so don't settle for less

Oy.....first of all, I had no help either. Second, the GA isn't my dream car-that'll come later, after I've paid off all the student loans which I will spend the next two years accumulating. I'm just saying find a good compromise for now and like the others have said, don't be so stuck on getting something so much newer.

Oh, and going from leather to cloth isn't so aweful...I did it .
