I've had one for the last 10 years in the same place as yours......Mine started off as a small lump you could barely see or feel. Now 10 years later it'* almost the size of a hardball! I'm a suck when it comes to surgeries but I have to get it done soon, because I can't stand for more than 5 hours before it becomes painfull unless I sit down or "tuck" it back in! Andrew get it done NOW while you're young and it will only set you back a week if it'* done right. I don't know about you but mine was cause by "wild sex"!

My son had to have surgery for an inguinal hernia last year -he was 1 and 1/2 years old then. Everything went fine. He was back in action in like 2 days.

You should be fine. Get other people to do your moving for you. Buy them pizza and beer. (some problems really can be solved just by throwing money at them!)

When I had to move cross country I caught a horrible cold and had a high fever. I had to beg and pay other people to pack all my stuff into the truck before my wife and I drove it across the country, pulling her Grand Prix on a dolly behind the truck.

Moving while sick is no fun. My advice is to get other people to do your moving for you!

Good luck with everything!

To much ******* finally wore you out. Seriously, that sucks though. I've been lucky wrestling 4-500lb trees (doing that a lot lately) with no injuries. If you need help moving thats my forte.

i went to the specialist on the 3rd, but i forgot to update you guys.

this doctor completely took a 180 and contradicted everything the last doctor said. he said this hernia is not a serious problem at all. as long as there is no pain, and it doesnt get bigger, i should plan on having it the rest of my life. the only reason it would need to be fixed is 1. if i dont like it, 2. i start to have pain. and since i dont mind it, and it doesnt hurt, i will save my money and not touch it.

im healed!

Good thing you got a second opinion (I'd listen to the Specialist too!)
