Default I hate Michigan'* economy and the automotive industry...

The article linked below should bring you up to speed on the terrible economic climate in Michigan and why I'll probably have to find another job soon. I've been with AoA almost four years and have really enjoyed it but I guess all good things must come to an end sooner or later...We're just waiting to see how everything shakes out. You never know what can happen in the corporate world until it happens.

I knew there was a good reason why I didn't ditch my SSEi for an employee lease
I feel sorry for other people here that are not only going to lose their job but also their transportation!

Generous Motors here I come!!! (again )

This makes me mad because it'* only going to make things WORSE. These companies are moving out because the economy in Michigan is getting bad... well guess what, they're just making it even WORSE. It'* a domino effect and Granholm isn't doing anything about it.

That would be great but I hear the best case scenario would be that moving would be at our own expense :? Also, it would be really hard to sell my house right now with taking a severe beating... I'm pretty sure the reality is going to be 1,000+ jobs cut.

This place is worse than a school yard right now... The rumor of the hour is that Gov. Granholm is currently in the building... I haven't seen her but I did see the Channel 4 van outside a few minutes ago...

Man, I'm so glad I got out of the automotive industry. News like this reinforces my decision.

What is AoA, btw?

Thankfully, I'm in IT so I wasn't bound by my field. Fortunately, all companies have some level of IT. JCI provided me with a solid foundation to move out of the industry...
