Tickets suck. I used to get tickets every other week by pretty much the same cop. The Point reduction class is a joke though because even though you take the class and you dont get points on your license, the offense still goes on your driving record. Well it did in NH when it happened to me anyways.

Most of the time if you felt your speed was approriate for the road you were traveling and traffic was light and weather was clear and it wasnt in a thickly settled area, then most of the time you can fight it and win. If there was a school in the area and the road was cluttered with houses and crosswalks, then chances are you wont win.

Its up to you though how you want to proceed. Good luck!!

come to think of it, both Haros i ever got where in freshly washed cars and both cars were 3800 powered

Also couldnt you fight the ticket and just plead guilty to a lesser charge? thats what i did when i got my 91 in a 60 ticket, plead guilty to the lesser charge and it was bumped from a $130, two point ticket to a, $80 no point ticket of 30 over the limit

I don't know. I mean the points I can live with. I've only had 1 other ticket in 7 years and that was for doing 60 in a 55. Yeah what crap huh? And that was back in 2001 so thats off my record now. I just don't feel like taking the time off work, going to court, and losing a battle that I knew I couldn't win anyway.

True, but its a double edged sword.

If only the record, then that can determine if you get another haro should you get pulled over again. Points on your license, yeah insurance can go up, but Fighting it if she was in the right and felt that 45 in a 30 was appropriate given the road conditions, possibly nothing if she wins. Its a tough call.

It would be clearly different had she been going 60 in a 30. No judge would see it as approriate speed for any condition road if the posted limit is 30. IMO I would fight it.

I can totally see you reason on me fighting it, but the reason I dont want to fight it is because it'* a road that has alot of hills, and there is a new subdivision entrance right at the top of the hill where he clocked me. So like the cop said to me, had there been someone pulling out while I was coming up the hill, the never would have seen me until it was to late. Now granite, it'* technically not a residential area, there are no sidewalks and whatnot, but they'd still nail me with the ticket, plus court fee'* and all that, so it'* not worth the time in my opinion.
