i was kinda thinkin along the same lines as PJ, being a man isnt about physical strength or having a GF or stupid stuff like that, so i think both of you are wrong, its all that mushy, deep stuff that most guys would never talk about with another guy that makes you a man...and i for one wouldnt roll my eyes at what PJ had to say im sure.

Exactly. I'm going to the bayous for a week in Louisiana with only $25 of camping food. I think only 1000 calories will be consumed in 10 days. I have a fast matabilism, it shall be hard.
I thought a real survivor would find food, not bring it.

Hey, I know some girls that can make you think they way fantastic88 is, even without the vodka.
But don't think that'* the way it is with all of them. Some chicks end up being just as interrested in the same things you can be. Don't **** off on the likes of us who have great GF/wives

Everyone is wrong, being a REAL man is taking your GF camping with you. To prove it, you will be trying to have fun, hunting and fishing, but you will have to listen to "I'm bored, wipe your feet off before you get into the tent, why are you putting that much gas on the wood, don't you think you have drank enough, thats the stupidest thing I've ever heard." You are a real man if you can go camping, with guns, and still listen to that without killing someone.

Fine, you guys asked it. To me, being a real man is someone who will pick a girl up and take her to the store because she'* sick and needs to pick up some meds. Or even just the guy who always grabs the door. You know some one who is considerate. I've hung out with a lot of guys, and the ones that I consider real men are the ones who call when they say they will, go out with you when they say they will, who don't make you sit around and wonder what game you're playing today. Guys you aren't men if you think you need to play mind games, or if you think its your right to blow a girl off, mostly because you can. If you think it doesn't apply to you, good, but there are a lot of guys out there that think this is well within their rights.
Other then that, I just think the real men out there are sweeties. The guys that can go watch football with their guy friends, and may project a "man'* man" appearance (and they are "mens men" in their own right) but that know when to be sweet...and dare I say, kinda cute.

There! Sappy enough for all you guys? :P

Being a real "man" by this type of definition is really simple: Sticking by the person you love when it is inconvenient to do so. By supporting that person when all you want to do is run away.

Being a real "woman" and not a B^^^^ is similar... Understanding you're not a Prima Donna that requires constant attention and worship, and understanding that your significant other has thier own ways of dealing with thier problems.

I met my wife in High School. We've been together for 13 years and married for 6 this coming April. Believe me, I've seen it all... dealing with an overprotective mother, dealing with death of family members, critical illnesses, bad moods and BS... Surviving the bad times and still being there for my wife when she needs me is what matters to me.

Bit of my perspective.

In my experience I've learned that a lot of women go for ********. The nice guy is the one the girl wants to be 'just friends' with.

Pessimistic, yes. Just what I've learned over the years though...
