i think you made the right choice

I have to agree with the majority. Your friend will understand, hey half the people we invited to our wedding didn't make it because of bad weather. It is just one day, and you will have the rest of your life with your friend. I think your friend would have felt bad if anything would have happened to you on the way to their wedding.

Joshua, I agree with the rest (minus one). You made an effort, and you got that feeling in the pit of your stomach that told you this was not the thing to do. You have to follow that. Yes, a wedding is important. But, not so important to have you and your friends killed or injured because of some kind of macho feeling of being able to conquer all. Besides the trip there, you'd have to make it through the trip back also and I'd bet the weather hasn't improved. You did the wise thing.
