That I asked to leave early (bullshit, I asked to leave when I was SCHEDULED to leave) and that I didn't "put my all" into my job. This was the guy who said I needed to leave my friends and family behind if I want to succeed in this business.

Petey! WHY are you giving up already? If you were one of my kids...I'd say, "Don't be such a weanie! You found one job...you can go find another." 
Be thankful you HAVE parents to live with...be thankful you have a car to sell (though I think that would be a dumb idea at this point) ...be thankful you have the option to go back to school if you wish....be thankful you have two healthy kidneys.
The reality of it is this: Losing a job at this point in your life is nothing compared to what may come your way as you get older. Learn to manage diversity instead of letting it manage you.
PS...you have to work a certain number of weeks to be eligible for unemployment.

Tracy does speak a lot of truth and I agree.
You have every right to be upset though. And ASKING for a day off seems like the lamest reason to fire someone. It'* not like you even got the time off, you just ASKED for it.
If he basically said your job is more important than your family he'* the epitome of dealer scum and you're better off not working under him.

Good points. But it still sucks what happened. Guy sounds like an a$$. I worked as a lot attendant at a used car dealership years ago and the manager was a total a$$. I will never buy a car from them as long as he works there.

Well then, I'd take this as a blessing and go find something better. IMO that job was holding you back. But you're young enough to make me feel old and I'm only 26 (almost), you have a lot of time.

Its what I do. I rake in about $700-900 a month depending on how many hours I get/steal and mowing.
