well, there not fast, there heavy and any mustang should have an 8 in it IMO.
But if you like how it looks/feels/drives/ i'd say go for it.

we have already proven if gas doubles it is not even going to matter if you have a v6 or 8.

Insurance will be VERY high anyway if you are buying a newer mustang, v6 or v8 will not matter that much if you can afford the car to begin with.

Camaro RS or Firebird SE would be better. If you get a 97+ they have the SeriesII, but without the horrors of UIM failure(actual metal UIM, YAY).
If you really want a more fuel efficient car, think about getting something with a 4cyl.

i dont even consider the v6 mustang to be a mustang, if i got a mustang i would get the v8 but i wouldnt get a mustang, as stated, its ford, my friend has a T-bird with the stang engine he has to put so much money into just keeping it running that hes already put in more than twice what he paid and it seems to have a new problem each week, plus the interior is falling apart, i kno the bonne interiors arent the highest quality but damn its pretty bad, the seats wudnt exist anymore if it wasnt for the seat covers. no sir, i owuld not trust a ford, just the other day it wouldnt start for no apparent reason, we thought it was the battery but lights were bright, guages and stereo, every power option was fine, it wasnt flooded, we waited for a half hour between attempts, then his brother came to pick us up in his nissan sentra, right when he was about to call AAA he got it to start, but thats a problem i could live without. and if you are that concerned about gas and insurance, you really ought to go with a 4cyl sedan, u cant have it all, power and class, or fuel economy and cheap insurance, that said, i would reccomend a toyota, a subaru, or a saturn, theyre reliable. honda would be on the list but for insurance prices since honda are alot more desirable for theft since FAF
