We cant figure out how to bleed my friends 1999 pontiac grand prix gtp brakes at all..... he took his calipers off to paint them and now that there back on they wont bleed at all we bleed all tires starting from back right to rl fr and fl we bleed em from the master cylinder did the gravity method but no matter what we do the brakes just go to the floor when we try driving it and it gets so anoying jacking the entire car up and doing this........
BTW the brake fluid ran completly out when he took his calipers out i mean everything in the system dunno if that matters tho

You still have air in the system, start with the passenger side rear then the drivers rear then the passenger front and finally the drivers front. Pump the brake pedal slowly while bleeding them and be sure to put the bleed tube in a half can of brake fluid so you dont draw in more air.

Killer, get a manual. Asking questions is pointless. The brake bleeding on that car has degraded to the point that it would take us a month of Sundays to help you now.

if you cant get your hands on a manual, please have the car towed to a reputalble shop were a trained mechanic can bleed the break system for you, might cost some cash, but thats all worth it, picture having to slam the breaks on, as you do so the little red Break indicatior illuminates as you plow into another vehicle...

Funny story:
My dad was working on the 93 about 7 years or so back, and he was changing the brake pads on a Saturday. You know, the usual stuff.
The following Monday he got up at 4:30 in the morning as usual to go to work. Well he started his car up and hit reverse. The engine being cold, it was coasting down our driveway towards the little batch of forest across the small country street. So he depressed the brakes but realized that he forgot to pump them! So he frantically pumped the brakes but to no avail. He crossed the street, went a couple of feet down as the land goes down towards a creek, and hit a tree just 5 feet from the road. Were that tree not there, he would have gone through the bushes and into the neighbor'* creek.
Lesson of the day: Always pump your brakes before you shift your car out from park!
I still have pictures of the car. The trunk was totaled. I was surprised to see that the bumper did'nt serve a purpose at all. It was mostly filled with air (I love the cars but god, cant you build a better bumper?) Its a daily reminder as of late since the paint on the bumper is starting to chip.
Ok im rambling now...
