How much of a degree do you speed?

20+ over on the highway was a daily driving habit for me, and I'm lucky I didn't kill myself or someone else. I similarly got the sense smacked into me by a series of tickets (including one for drag racing) that cost me an arm & leg (financially, not literally) and some community service. Now I'm married w/ kids, responsible public servant.

call me paranoid...but what if we have a fine member of the law enforcement in our club...is he taking notes....are these comments "admission of guilt"?
My Bonne'* speedo goes to 220 mph, so there is no possibility of burying that gauge.
My Firebirds speedo used to read 100 mph or 160 kph. I used a mechanical converter and now it goes to 160 mph. It used to wrap all the way around and peg on the 0. By the tach, it went 160 mph. Since then I have regeared it for better acceleration so it will only top out at 140 mph now.
I am a very responsible driver.....believe it or not. I only speed when the road, climate and traffic permit.
Not too many cars ever pass me. I only let the crazy, irresponsible young punk drivers who have balls bigger than their brains do that.
I have never and will never swerve to avoid running over animals on the road. They become road kill.
.....provided it'* not a Moose.

5 over the posted speed limit on all roads (excluding school zones), traffic permitting, and only 10+ over if I'm not paying attention, lol :P I keep it in that range, between 5 and 10 over, mostly towards 5 over. As for my driving habits, I prefer to call myself an "affirmative" driver, rather than "aggressive"
I usually find myself doing a fair bit of safe and, come on, called for manuevering in order to get ahead of the large amounts of idiots we have on the roads down here. True satisfaction for me comes not when I'm pegging the speedo (have never done that, actually) but when I'm out ahead of "the pack". God I love that feeling
