I just drove 300 miles to NY @ 68mph the whole way. When I got here I took my brother for a ride and did happen to go WOT from 65 to 100 once. I think he wet himself. 
I drive 450 miles every week for work. I see WOT probably 2 or 3 times a month tops. And that'* only a quick highway burst from around 70 to 90. Getting good gas mileage and keeping my trans working properly is in my best interest.
