How do I get back into school mode?

I think you should improve your study habits. Just like me, you are an engineer (well, actually I'm an architect). So you should be able to design your own study system.
Make up a time for EVERYTHING. Like....
3:00PM - Start math homework
4:00PM - Read Act I - V from Macbeth
5:00PM - Eat
6:00PM - Study for the quiz in english on Shakespare'* background.
7:00PM - Start Physics homework
8:00PM - Research about & sketch a house plan (2000sq/ft - Garage and basement not included)
10:00PM - Eat
11:00PM - Pick up dad from work
11:30PM - Sleep
And if anything gets behind schedule, DROP IT. It'* better to miss something on one of your classes than not get completely prepared for all of them.
If this fails, ... then if I was you I would add a grille on my car.
