I wasn't in the swing of the whole school thing until I sat in on my first Microbiology class and took note like no other. Then I realized I was really in for it this semester, but hey, I'm in the lab three times a week which makes me happy (so, I like science, whatever ).

Ditto.

I took Astronomy class this semester. It'* great. We get to see a lot of stuff with the telescope. We can even see the Chrysler Water Tower from our high school building.
Actually, you can see as far as the Detroit river..... man, Michigan is FLAT!

And the teacher is very fun.

fun fun fun fun

Very cool...yeah Southern Michy is so, so very flat in places. We have astronomy where I go, but I didn't want to have to go to the obeservatory late at night, and plus, it doesn't do much for my bio major. So, instead, I'm in intro to chem (yeah, should've done general chem but this does the same thing in on semester) and I spend good quality time with the microbes in Microbiology, which should be lots of science fun. And really, I found out, you really really have to like most every part of science when you are a bio major, which is great except I'm not looking forward to the year of physics (that I think I will put off until my final year ).

NO kidding.
Chemistry is fun. Are you taking organic chemistry? That is challenging. My mother is a Chem/Bio teacher and she made me give special attention to chemistry. But yes, I agree Chemistry and Biology are great fun.

You don't like Physics? So sad.

I'm a science lover too. I find Geology the most fascinating. Biology comes in 2nd place. If I even get some time where I'll need an extra class to take, I'll definitly take classes that deal with those subjects.

/ criminal justice major

I will take Organic later, probably in the Fall when I can take it as a one semester Intro course. I think after that I also have to take a one semester BioChem, in which case I will have completed all my Chem credit course for my Bio degree. What age level does your mother teach at?? I'm going for my secondary certification in Bio and Math.
Physics and I never got along, but bearing in mind the last time I took physics (Jr. year in high school-three years ago), I was taking Trig. and Stats at the same time and for most of the year that I needed Trig for Physics I hadn't gotten to it in my Trig/Stat couse so I had to not only learn the physics part but the math part too. So maybe this time around, I will have a much better time with it all. (and then maybe I'll like it, because it was too hard for me to enjoy in HS).

Wow, you're majoring for criminal justice???
Good Luck!

My sister is majoring for corporate law. Whenever she starts talking about what she'* studying I get a headache.

I don't like law fields.
