Yea, I'm also minoring in computer info systems. And if there is time, I'm thinking about sociology.

Last semester I took a Constitutional Law class. It was the most interesting and most informative class I've ever taken. It was also the hardest class I've ever taken too. I find CJ very interesting because it is not a concrete field. Nothing is precise like math or some sciences. Everything is very theoretical and conceptual.

The school I go to, Grand Valley, has a very good CJ program.

Yeah, GVSU is known for having a good CJ program, as is Ferris. Good luck with the CJ, I think it would be an extremely interesting program, something I seriously considered (well, actually I was thinking of Forensic Science...but yeah).

Well, I'm getting in to Computer Forensics, so I need the CIS minor. Sociology is just a thought. I find it kind of interesting, and it would go well with a CJ major. I'll do that if I have extra time.


And yea, law is a lot to absorb. But it'* pretty valuable to know, especially when it comes down to Constitutional issues.

Computer Forensics? What is that? Some kind of hacker/abuser detector?

It'* a broad field. I really want to work in a lab, tearing apart computers and pulling evidence from them. In this age of technology, there could be a lot of stuff sitting on people'* hard drives that could be used for or against them. I also want to investigate computer fraud and hackers. It happens so much to corporations and such. There are many different places I could work for, both governmental and private. It would be sweet to work for the federal government doing FBI stuff, but there is also stuff on the state/local level I could do.

I have a really close friend majoring in CJ and shes studying computer forensics. She currently works at the Department of Justice in DC as an HTML coder. She says she wants to be a judge someday . I myself wouldnt mind being a detective
