Default how do i convince the important one?

so were thiknig that out next house will be built custom for us. im screaming for a lift in the garage (three or four car garage with one of the extras having a lift), or failing that, a pit at least. shes saying no. so how do i convince her? after all, its her opinion thats important, not mine.

Tell her or let her read this: If you're in the garage tinkering with cars, you won't be out somewhere else with someone else. Better you spend your time with old cars than young mistresses.
You say it'* her opinion that counts, is she the one that does the most auto repairs in your household?
Speaking from personal experience, using a lift is much better than a pit. It makes an unbelievable difference when doing suspension and drivetrain work.

yeah, if she really loves you, just do it, and she will forgive you later and see how happy it makes you...or just ask her if she wants you to be happy..

ask her if she'd rather have a jack fail and have a car fall on top of you? Didn't think so.

Not to mention that you would save money at the mechanics garage, but you would not need to spend money on all those "expensive " jacks and ramps. Don't forget the jack stands also.

Any kids? I know from experience how hard teens are on cars. It would save on those repairs also.

why is she so against it? is it the money aspect, or just having a lift in the garage? if it'* money, that lift will pay for itself and then some. if it'* having two posts and a couple of arms, tell her she can..umm...plant flowers around the posts? i dunno, that'* a tough one.

Try and go around the issue. Set the garage up with a high roof. Get the lift later. Devide and conquer.
