How is this credit rating really tied to auto insurance?

Yep of course the car insurance companies want to shove it even deeper into people'*....

Anyways, how much of a rate difference could it really make?
LEt us say the only real variable being a credit score, someone with the worst credit VS the best.

Are we talking a difference of double for the insurance or what percentage?

ALSO, if someone'* credit took a plunge, would their insurance go up at renewal or only if they changed companies or something?

Not to get into it, but me and my wife might have to file chapter 7 ande I am trying to figure out how that will effect our finances later. [disaster yes] but what about the car insurance and credit rate, like I asked?

Your rate shoudl not change, not saying it wont. Guess that'* dependent on your agent. The real problem will come if you try to change agents.
