Man I wish I could find a house I liked in a neighborhood I can deal withfor 250k... hell I'd be happy at 350k. Right now the places my wife and I like start at around 600k.

I'm limited because I -ABSOLUTELY- have to live in a particular 10 mile radius. I refuse to be farther than that from my datacenter. It doesn't help that I live in the most expensive county in New York either.

Same here. I've looked out there and think to myself the same thing. Heck, i've seen nice houses between Owatonna and Albert Lea that i'd consider. Some only $80,000. Haven't seen you for a while crazy. Where ya been?

Ummmmm, yeah. I work in Eden Prairie.... Monticello would be a bit of drive....

Believe it or not, there are some nice properties in The Cities (just me and The Missus y'know. No need to plan for a family)

That sounds like work. And it'* cold out.....

The major obstacle right now is getting The Missus off her butt. She knows a couple of realtors, but shes'* "so tired I can't think straight."

Almost got myself in huge trouble last night when she said that. My response was "Are you tired enough to keep paying rent, instead of finally owning something?"

Then I went outside for a cigarrette before she threw the couch at me.....

Oh just buy a damn RV then that way, you can move around if you don't like the neighbors, you can simply back into their house then move to a different county. Plus you could drive the RV to meets and still be at home. How about that?

There are definitely benefits to that plan! Makes it kinda hard for The Missus to do her gardening, tho.
Same reason we refunse to consider a townhome. I want a yard of my own, as well as a house.

Oh the missus has to do her gardenin'? Hmm, how about buying a open trailer and drill holes for drainage and put a lot of dirt on it then plant stuff on it so that way, if you gotta move, you can hook up your lawn and the garden and take it with you.

How about that?
