Good News: Found out The Missus and I are more than qualified to buy a house (even the $240,000 duplex we live in!! )

Bad News - Finding something we can afford, and like, sucks. Is this a good neighbourhood? Is the house in good shape? Blah, blah, blah...

As if work weren't wearing me out, I gotta dig through all that crap in my off time....


But, I'll be a home owner soon!!!

The twin cities metro has nasty high prices, doesn't it?

Some of the houses in Lakeville aren't that bad, but prolly a crappy morning commute to work.

My neighbors house is for sale I think. But it'* so eff'd up that it needs to be demolished and just rebuilt. I'm trying to talk my parents into buying the property and letting me build a nice heated and cooled shop on it.

There'* quite a few places I found online that are in my price range ($170,000). Problem is, even after living here for a few years, I really don't know the neighborhoods all that well.

Just gonna have to hook up with a realtor and see what they got to show us....

We are still #12 and thats only because of the northern part of the state is so cheap cause nobody wants to live there. Houses here in the metro OFTEN exceed $300K. Even rather sh*^^y ones.

I'm sure. Anywhere on the NE cost is high. Anywhere on the SW cost is the highest. I just don't know why MN of all places is so high. :?
