horseback riding
I just got home earlier today from an honors seminar for a scholarship. basically it was like a summer camp, but only held for two days. They were offering horseback riding so I thought, "what the hell, I've never done it, might as well!" Alll I can say is NEVER again! Guys will know what I'm talking about, but good lord it was so painful when the horse started to gallop instead of just walk. That had to be the most painful experience I've had in a VERY long time! How exactly do you keep things from *ahem* "bouncing around" when you're horseback riding? I swear, this was a ride from hell. lol. There were 14 of us that went for the ride, only two of us were guys.. now I see why! LMAO. It was horrible.
when it was done and over with I asked the other guy if he was in pain and he was like "hell yeah. if I knew it was gonna be like this I woulda worn a cup or something." haha. My horse wasn't that cool either, he kept kicking the other horses and biting them. Then he kept stopping along the way to grab something to eat. His name was "tiny" but I saw no relation to him and his name.

The saddle could have been too small for you, or jeans could have been too tight. Also there is a particular way a man sits in a saddle, I can't believe they didn't tell you that!!! Horseback riding is great....it is an amazing feeling!!!!

LMAO!!! Thanks for the laugh A western and english saddle make you sit differently, so depending on what saddle you were in it could have been a better experience! There aer also special cups you can buy, and like PM said if the jeans were too tight that'* a big ouchie too. Also...were you galloping or trotting?? I always get a giggle out of newbie horsers who call a trot a gallop, nothing personal hehe
Besides, it takes years to become a good rider - i guess most male equestrians by that time have probably lost all feeling down there :P :P Good for you for being adventurous though!

We went horse back riding in the mountains too (this past spring). I was sore when I got done as well. However, they kept reitterating to us that you don't sit on the saddle, but rather use it for support. In effect, you're supposed to stand in the stir ups. The theory was nice, if you wanted your knees to be all screwed up from the bouncing!!
