Wood is beautiful, but it makes noise when you walk across it, compared to silence in carpet (both can sound creaky, however). So if it were up to me, I'd redo the wood, and put area rugs in the center of the rooms and runways down steps/hallways. Then you get that "expensive", nice look with the wood around the edges, but you can enjoy the convenience of the carpet.

Plus, wood gets to be high maintenence, as compared to carpet.

yes thats our plans. That way, my son can have his color, my daughter can have her pink or whatever, and Mrs Crzydmnd and I get to pick the rest. Gotta finish ripping up and cleaning the rest of the house first LOL
