I've never owned luggage before and need something....

what brands are crap and what is high quality...I need something that will last.

probably a 29" or something.

personally i get the cheapest crap available, why spend money on something that you KNOW is going to get beat up and thrown around....i have never had a problem with the el cheapo stuff either, and i fly more than most

Samsonite (I am not sure if that is spelled correctly) Those are the best, they are a bit pricey, but worth it.

I agree, and I fly fairly often as well. Its all going to get scraped and scuffed. I would go as inexpensive as you can with out being it being "cheap" or super flimsy. I like zippers that can be locked. Insurance against un-zipping while being tossed around. Plus, I have had my luggage lost a few times, and it may serve as a slight deterrent against something "accidentally" falling out.

Cheap crap. And make sure it will fit in an overhead compartment so you don't have to check any bags.

Costco Hans... Costco..

Frequently they have coupons for it and you can get the 5 piece set super cheap. I'm totally with looking at it and buying the cheap stuff knowing it'll get abused.

I had to retire my Samsomite prematurely for wear and tear...
