Hey! You got your paint all over my car!
Three times since Friday, somebody who has parked next to me at various spots (home, WallyMart, Home Depot) has opened their doors on both my outside mirrors. These are painted and the outer points have received three different colors of paint from *****'* who just don't care.
I compounded the first one off the passenger side mirror, but there remains a small area of removed paint - down to the gray primer. The driver'* side now has white and yellow scuffs on it as well as another area of paint scuffed off down to the primer. They got that one twice in the same day! I'll compound those off this weekend.
I mean, DANG! It'* like someone has taken out a contract on my "new" used car.
The only good news about this is that the primer spots look good. I bought a touchup stick with OEM paint in one end, and clearcoat in the other. Several coats of thin paint with a little compound and clearcoat should make 'em less painful to look at.
One day, I parked in the middle of the lot with no cars around for 75 feet - came back out of the store 20 minutes later and someone was parked right next to me. We were the only cars around.
I feel like I'm in a Bugs Bunny cartoon

True Car Nut
This thoroughly irks me, and is one of the reasons that I can't own a flawless car. The PA has door dings EVERYWHERE.
In the 7 years I have owned it, it'* also been hit while parked 3 times (hit and run, but I found one of them), hit a dog, been rear ended, and countless other odds and ends. Actually, it'* one of the reasons the Regal stays at home most days now, because the Regal still has some shred of dignity left by some miracle.
I wish I had better news for you, but half the people don't care, and the other half are out to get you.
