I dont know if u are allowed studded snow tires there, but they rule on ice.
Noisy though on dry pavement..

You can go 30 or 40 on strait roads, and be able to stop, you just have to slow down around curves and bridges.

we can use studs during this time of year but i dont feel like i need them. dont use winter tires either. im passing everybody else in my car with the bfg tires already and not feeling squirly or out of control. just seems like people are dumb. yesterday it was snowing, icy, and windy and you couldnt see 10ft, they didnt plow and i saw no one in the ditch. today its clear, and they plowed but it hasent been over 10 deg in 3 days so they dont salt(only works down to a certain temp) and the roads are all ice. people can see and are going too fast.

spent like an hour unsuccessfully trying to connect my s4 to my work pc, before just tearing it open and putting the card in it. at this point i have nothing good to say about samsung, my last two phones just connected in usb mode, 5 seconds later i was done. turns out the pics i took dont really do either much justice.

Those pics are not too bad there Justin. Looks like u were the only car on the road..
Ya I know what ya mean about not needing winter tires, as long as they have good groove depth, I remember heading out in the PA in very similar conditions on steep mountain roads.
My all season rads did just fine, there was not a lot of traffic also while I was out too.

i was the only car on the road, monday. well very few there was a travel ban. yesterday at least they had the interstate 90 completely closed and made the trucks get off and park in commercial parking lots. i heard on the news this morning they were opening that back up at least. cant imagine getting stuck in a truck for a day or two, not sure if they could turn around or not

I had a ford courier in high school and I bought some used studded tires from the wrecking yard. I remember laughing when I would dump the clutch to get the tires to spin just to watch the sparks fly off the studs at night. No wonder I did like 3 clutches in one year on that truck.

ive had snows and driven a avalanche with studs, and they were tanks. but its alot of expense for something you can only use a few months. we really dont get that much ice. this year has been alot worse than normal. we always get the snow but the rapid temp swings not really, the lakes usually regulate the highs and lows
