I may not be on much in the next few days...tommorow I go in for surgery for BOTH hands. Left hand only needs the middle finger repaired, but the right has two fingers that need repair...my thumb and pointer. Those that know and seen me work with tools know that I have needed this for a while, and hopefully this will be the last time my hands get cut up (already had surgery on both index fingers through the VA)

Already have my prescrips for Vicadin (spelling?)...gotta feeling I am gonna need them for a bit

Thanks all! Yeah, Don could tell y'all that it'* been affecting me for a while now. For those not in the know, I have heredetary "trigger finger", a close cousin to carpal tunnel. Only differences are that TF happens in the hand itself, not in the wrist, and causes the fingers to "lock" when the knot that is in the tendon sheath gets caught in the pulley. At first, it'* livable. But over time that (or those, in my case) knot(*) rub the sheath so much that it agitates it, making it painful to move the fingers in any degree. I would say that for the past 6 months or so I have effectively been reduced to using 7 fingers...4 on the left, 3 on the right. Since I am a righty, I got belted twice...it'* hard to write because of my pointer not working, and extremely difficult to pick up anyting over 5 lbs because my thumb can't do it'* job.

Recovery should be fairly quick, but with both hands in wraps....well folks, it'* gonna get interestin'.
