That 3.1 is a good solid motor....
Yep 140 Hp and 185 Tq are the numbers... But it came on lower end than any 3100... I believe that the 3.1 MPFI made its torque at 3200( peak ) and the 3100 was at 4000, but the 3100 was a little more fun on the top end...
Now the 3.1 attached to a 5 speed... well we all know thats even more fun...
The one issue I am aware of is that the 3.1 from time to time would wear out a cam lobe as this is a conventional lifter engine.. They went to roller lifters in the 3100...... But you should have any trouble there..
with this car it should be the normal GM wear items... Water Pump, Alternator, Tensioner pulley / Tensioner( sometimes the spring breaks )... Just the normal GM stuff that comes on with miles.. I can't beging to tell you how many of these motors I have seen with more than 250k on them still running like a champ

interior cleaned up nicely! Thats not a bad find at all for 600. even considering the dent. You could always leave it stock while working and saving for something you really want, then probably still get 5-600 back out of it.
