'92 Cavalier Z24, 3.1, 5 speed, 165k miles.

Big dent will be fixed, rust is on the doors and under the foil tape, and on the gas door.

Oh...thank god. I thought you were going to buy the DOHC 3.4 Olds. :o The night pics don;t show much, take more in the day time. If you don't mind me asking how much did you pay for it?

Those 3.1s are VERY solid motors. Good find.

except for the 5 speed, that car could be a twin for the one an ex GF had, of course that was back in early 92, her grandma got it for her new, had like 10 miles on it when she got it.

with care and oil changes, it may last considerably longer than you think

Yeah I heard the 3.1 MPFI is MUCH stronger than the 3100 SFI. My friends beretta 3.1 has 232k on it with no problems.

I am actually surprised by its power. 7.9 0-60 isn't bad at all, considering it'* only 140hp/185tq. The car itself is nice, except for the bottoms of the doors and the dent I am gonna pop out, it'* a big one.

The problems are -

It was a florida car for the last few years, so he had NO cat on it since he didn't want to fix it.
The rust. Almost no body rust, mostly on the door bottoms.
A valve cover leak.
And I need to clean it.
