Well I started out with a 95' Bonnie.....I did like it alot!
But it had real bad intake issue which in turn took out the motor..
....and the guy I bought if from had to buy it back...
I love this forum so I stuck around...
I do have the GP Jason was referring too....and I am VERY pleased with it!
I have the 3100 and from what I hear its the more reliable of the 2 motors...
I get 22-23 mpg around town all the time...
The Bonnie definately had more sack off the line...but the GP handles much better.
The GP does very well for itself toooo. I am not displeased by no means.
Foot down it goes just fine!
I bought mine for $2500 cash with 128k on the OD.
Been good to me so far except for my Radio taking out the Alternator and Batt....but
that is my fault not the cars.
I think you would be pleased....

Thanks!
Thanks for the info, man Can't beat first-hand accounts, especially those from people who've owned both the Bonnie and the GP How'* the ride quality in the GP? Mainly, how does it compare with the Bonnie? I love the handling balance in the Bonnie, is why I ask. Not to firm, not to soft; it'* juuust riiight =) It seems like one with a 3100 in it would fit my needs just fine. If you have anything else that you could add, man, feel free I need all the input I can get! Oh yeah, and take a look at the car I'm going to look at on Sunday on the previous page. It'* a link to Auto Trader. Seems like a good deal. What do you think? Thanks again, man

Hey!
LOL, just looked at your old Bonneville page on Car Domain. When it had the primer on it and the front bumper missing, it looked like mine is now, hehe... ouch, why did I have to remind myself about that... arg...

Hey dude! Recognize the car from w-body!
You'll kill a stock GP off the line with the Bonneville. The GP seems to have a slightly 'tighter' feel over the Bonne. The Bonneville seems to be a higher-quality build by far. Don't get me wrong, I love the GP'* I've owned, but the Bonneville just has that refined sophisticated feel that the GP just plain lacks. If I had to do it over again, I'd have searched a lil harder for a supercharged Bonneville. But steer clear of the 3.4. My 3.4 opinion is biased, as I've had god-awful luck with them, but its an engine that requires routine maintainence.. there is NO postponing on this one. And repairs can be quite expensive. The 3100 has (so far) been a problem free engine for me. I've got a few of 'em.. one running nearly 200k and another is nearing 100k. I'm loosing faith in the 100k engine for some reason.. one of those 'gut' feelings.

Hmmm...
Heard the same about the 3.4. Gonna avoid 'em, don't need the hastle :( But it says on car-stats that the Gp is just as fast as a Bonnie with a series I (my car) And that'* totally cool with me. Sad to hear the GP'* build quality ain't up to that of the Bonnie. I hope it'* not THAT much of a difference. We'll say... thanks again, all, for the info

That car you going to look at don't look bad at all....I know I won't buy another car with mess wheels unless there already black!
My 5 spokes are so much easier to clean, that for sure!
But that looks like a decent ride for sure!
Too bad no moonroof tho....
