Default Head gasket help

Not for the Bonne of course.

Has anyone ever worked on a Porsche 944? I'm just wondering if there is anything I should be aware of changing a head gasket on a 2.5 944, non-turbo.

Thanks!

Heh, have fun. Last one my friend did cost him well over $1500. LOTS of parts break during disassembly. What year?

1986. My brother wants my help. He has a very quaified mechanic friend, but he doesn't want his Porsche to be held up for a month at his shop (like his Jeep a couple weeks ago).

What kind of things broke? Just things that he wasn't careful about? Are bolts a problem on these?

Yeah, the only reason my friends cost so much is because the head was shot. But yes, expect to replace alot of small oddball parts, as they like to break. Same as BMWs, lots of little parts like to break when fixing something.

Good thing my brother likes BMWs and Porsches.

I'll do some searching on some Porsche forums, and let my brother know. Thanks!
