o.k so i spoke to a computer geek and this is what he had to say...
The problem you are describing is known as a “boot loop”. Most of the time, a boot loop is caused by a failing hard drive. What model laptop do you have? The reason that I am asking is that some models have a built-in hard drive test that you can run, even without being able to boot into Windows. For example, the HP’* that we have here have this feature. If your laptop does not have this feature, then a 3rd party software boot disk would be needed to test your drive (most computer nerds have one.
does anybody have 3rd party software boot disk.?

so it was determined that my 100gb hard drive with only 50 gb being used on my only pics of my kids from when i was in the hospital and missed my daughters birth.. when i heard that i stood up all night very upset and i actually started to tear... yes i cried.. that was all my pics of my daughter first 4 months when i was hospitalized and all her pics of me and her when i came out.. and also all my sone birth pics and pics of him untill date were lost as well.. and i also lost atleat 30 gb of music.. what a horrible day it is to be me right now.. and i cant even afford a new hard drive for the $100 they cost on ebay either so this really sucks..... and to top it all off my friend is going to be picking up his laptop tomorrow so he can take it with him to college... so i dont no when i will be able to go back on line and come chat with you guys and gals and beer drinkers.. so i guess i will be saying goodbye for a while. i do know when i will be able to afford a new hard drive as i just bought a new house and the down payment and moving took every thing io had.. im running on paycheck to paycheck which is just enough to pay my bills... so i will see you'* when i can....
fair well for now guys... after tomorrow i will have no more internet access so i will have to drink beer untill i can vision myself online.

are you saying you took the hd out of your laptop, plugged it into an ext enclosure, and cannot be read on another pc? That is not a good sign. can you hear or feel the hd power up? Does it make any noise?

There are usually ways to get stuff back. I have retrieved data off a couple drives that i thought were lost. The one I used when I lost my main harddrive during the final weeks of my sophmore year was www.runtime.org. That one costs a little bit of money, but was worth it for me.

If the hard drive spins up, I can get the data off (99% certainty). If the drive will not spin up, then it'* off to places that take the platters out and put them into a working drive.
