we are talking about the old dog Pushrod 2.2.... The only thing they had was torque...
Had a Buddy that had a Nice S10, Extended Cab, 3rd Door... Alloys... Nice truck for sure... But it had the 2200( 2.2 ) SFI motor... Man O Man that thing was a total dog... And boy could it drink fuel in that truck...
I used to tease him that my 91 Bonnie with 2.84 gears could go up the Cuaseway at 50mph in OD with TCC Lock and still pick up speed.. His 2200 would struggle and then downshift a couple of gears
Now the Echo Tech 2.2.... There is a totally different story for that one.. They can be fairly quick
