Default Ugly a$$ exhaust manifolds...suggestions PLEASE

I was looking through a "Mid-America Designs" Corvette parts catalog. I saw this stuff that you apply with a brush on the exhaust manifolds to give it a new factory look. Basically 1200 degree rated paint or something. I've cleaned my engine to the point where my exhaust manifolds are the only nasty looking things under the hood. Would this stuff be the only solution to cleaning them up? Do they sell anything in auto stores so i don't have to wait a long time to order it?

I figured engine paint would do but I've only seen 500 degree rated paint. My main concern is painting over them (without taking them out...I don't want to deal with that.) with something that will hold up. How hot do they get anyway? I'd assume more than 500 degrees.

So should I get this stuff from the catalog (it dries like a grayish hue...cures as the car heats up) OR should I find some high heat paint.

More than anything I would like them to be gold (no sh**, right ), but if that'* not a possibilty, I'll go with the other stuff. Please let me know all my options, and if I can do them gold...Thx.

I don't have the $$ for that I'm sure, especially with the other things I have to fix first. My next (SSEi) one I will.

For now I just want them to look good.

They make 1200 degree engine spray paint it even has some ceramic built into it. I am not sure how easy it would be painting them without removing them though. My local Wal-Mart carries it in a couple different colors so I am sure most auto stores should carry it. I think it is about $6 a can.

I'll check if they make some 1200 degree rated here. But I can reach them with a brush (at least the front one. I'll just spray the paint into another container, mix it up...improvise a little
