Default Gulf Of Mexico Crisis

I've been reading all about the failures involved in ending the crisis, and BP'* idiotic statements of attempted fixes such as "We knew this would happen and probably not work....." (The Dome)

My thoughts and question is:
When is the US Government going to see the Crisis for what it is, that Millions of gallons of oil have poured out of that hole, that the hole is only going to get worse and increase the flow, and that unless they step in and put our minds, engineers, and resources into it,..... The Whole Freaking Southern Coastline and Beyond Become a WASTELAND.

In typical US Gov response to it, they spend their time and efforts at bashing the people who did it, worry about who'* going to pay for it, spend unreal money figuring out who failed and why things failed, pump the Media with BS spins on everything, and do nothing real about anything until it'* to late. If something isn't succesfully done soon, in a month the 1000'* of miles of coastline from Galveston to the Florida Keys will make the Exxon Valdez Episode look like childsplay.

Wait until a hurricane rips through the Gulf and picks up all that oil laden water and spreads it across 10 states. Now what are they gonna do?

A good point Mike about hurricanes as we approach the season for them. We've been lucky the past couple years, they run in cycles, and if we have an active seasons who knows the consequences. All the efforts. sand bagging, and oil absorbent booms would be for nothing. Funny it'* hard to get a clear idea on the internet where real photo'* of the damages seem few and far between. The Boston Globe put some pretty disturbing pictures up, and it'* still the beginning with no end in sight.

Tell everybody you know to donate hair and money. Why hair you ask, because hair is one of the best natural absorbers for oil. Tons of salons across the coast are making "hair mops" to help soak up the oil.

I know this has nothing to do with the post...

Latest headline from FOX News: BP Exec: Gulf of Mexico 'Relatively Tiny' Compared to 'Very Big Ocean

Now that'* how smart most CEO'* are:

Quit passing the buck, there is enough cost to go around to all involved.

Typical blame game. That way they can say we didn't do it. Get off your back side and bring in the people and equipment to deal with it.
