Default grand prix question

A friend of my mom'* has a 95 Grand Prix sedan that he'* selling. It has either the 3.1L or the 3.4L, can't remember which (99% sure it'* the 3.4L). The car just mysteriously quit running. They are selling the car like it is for $700. I'm curious whether a S2 L67 (or even S1) would go in the car and how hard it would be? And if it WILL fit, about how much do they usually sell for (tranny and all).

I've seen a couple Grand Prixs that are 1995 and older with the L67 swap. Not sure how much work is involved, but it'* doable.

If it has the 3.4 it probably quit running because the timing belt snapped.

There are several gen I GPs ('88 - '96) that have an L67 swapped into them. Most of the modded ones are running 13'*, with a couple or so in the 12'*, I think. If you do a search on ClubGP, there should be a slew of posts as to what is required. Pricing will vary quite a bit. I'd check eBay to see what the complete set-ups are going for, but they're not nearly as expensive as they used to be. You can also look here for info:
