I have an alero which is the same car as the ga

I like the 3400, its a rev happy motor ill hand it that. though the transmission is another story, stay on top of it with maint. or it will go on you.

Watch out for coolant issues with the 3400! The LIM gaskets are subject to the same failures as we see on the L36s.

My mom had her'* replaced at 39,000 miles because it was injesting coolant.

Intake gaskets, wheel bearings, and brake problems are the biggest problems.

I've seen quite a few with electrical problems as well.
