The owners manual on PJ'* car begs to differ. It says it takes into consideration RPM'*, temperature, etc. But I do not believe it actually "senses" the oil.

my 99 inturgue that owned had similar system in it,but reset I had to put the key the preing setting then push the gas petal to the floor two or three times. I did get to go off once. after I very long trip ,but I never put anything but mobil 1 on that thing

that is what the tahoe is, key in acc or on(forget) and press gas pedal 3 times to the floor
