It'* over..... let the cleanup begin.....
Total snowfall, 97.5cm... or 3.2ft in under 24hrs.
Avg windspeed 100km/h with gusts to 130km/h.
That'* what the radio is reporting this morning. The city is shut down.
I've been watching a CAT plow the 102 highway now for 25mins.... it has to make small cuts and push the snow off to the side. It'* unable to just drive straight and push the snow to the side, that'* how much their is. In the past 25mins the CAT has only been able to plow about 100m-200m of highway.
Right now we are still in a state of emergency, and motorists are not allowed on the roads. Only emergency vehicles and snow cleanup crews are allowed. People in violation will be ticketed by the police.
I'm pretty sure I've got another day off work.... I didn't even get two days off when we had the hurricane (now that was a mess).
Anyways, I'll try to post some photos later.

It'* like we are living in a **** state.... I do understand the need to clear the streets (esp w/ another 25cm coming Saturday night) but I think this is a bit extreme... $1000 fine for people out walking, and having your car towed if you're out driving.
PS-The only record for 24hrs of snowfall here was 50cm, set back in 1944. We shattered the old record with 97.5cms in under 24hrs.
