Default GOT SNOW?

http://novascotia.cbc.ca/regional/se...wstorm20040219

I plan to head out later and snap some photos.
From my view of the 102 highway (very busy highway) there isn't a car on it. The only things that passes by every hour or so is one of those big C.A.T.*
The regular snow plows are off the road, and buses aren't running.

I've lived in Halifax for 15yrs, this is only the 2nd state of emergency we've ever declared, the first was a few months ago w/ the hurricane.
At least this time everyone (most) have power. We were worried that damaged trees would down more powerlines, but apparently NS Power did an excellent job of "beefing up" our power grids to aid against a big storm.

Again, I plan to head out later to take some photos.
Thankfully, I live in an apartment building, with my 97 safe & sound in an underground heated garage.

Update.... 85cm on the ground...

Snow drifts more then 10ft high.
I just talked to my parents, the front door to the house is completely blocked, and the snow at the back door is 4ft high.

They can see that the snow has completely covered their Envoy, you can't even tell theirs a SUV there.
They tried to snap some photos, but the wind was kicking around the snow so much it just covered the lense on the camera.

I never thought I'd say this, but boy am I glad I live in Syracuse. We haven't had something like that since 1993. That winter was horrible!

Be careful Jason.
