I am so very sorry for your loss Bill & family! It is amazing the relationship we develop with our pets that give us unconditional love. They love us no matter how we treat them and don't ask for nothing more than to be given a little attention.

Just hang on to the good memories.

This morning a very important family member passed away. He was my big Brother, Mick. He died at 11:00 am. I love him so much. Here are some of my memories:

When I was little Mick was chasing something, he was running straight towards me, and everyone thought he was going to knock me down. Instead, he jumped right over my head.

Another memory is when our neighbor left his tools with Dad to keep them safe. Someone came and tried to steal them, and Mick barked at them until Dad and John across the street woke up and chased them away.

Also, when I was about 2 years old, I rode Mick like a horse.

Another time before I was born, A little boy wandered away from home. About 12 dogs looked for him. One of them was Mick. Most of the dogs quit the first and second days, but Mick kept looking until on the 3rd day, a schipperke mix found him in the water under the road. Mick was on National TV while he was searching.

Mick was the best big brother in the world, and I'll love him forever.

Here'* a picture of Mick with me in the back seat of Greenzilla.

I know how you feel, Will and Katie. My family is dealing with the slow decline of two of our cats, Baron and Doc.

Baron is 15 and has slowed down due to an enlarged heart. Baron was a fighter and a hunter in his day. He'* got notches in both ears and scars on his nose,
but the younger local cats are starting to get the better of him. He still watches the birds, but he'* too slow to catch many any more.
Doc'* almost 14 years old, his eyes are bad, and FIV has taken away his teeth, but he still gives his love to my family as freely as he did when he was a kitten.

We've had many cats and other animals over the years, and every time we lose one, it'* a fresh, deep wound, but the having has almost always been worth the losing.

Mick was a scrapper, that'* for sure, but you always lose the last battle. If there truly is Happy Hunting Ground, then Mick'* probably up there laying into another nutria right now.

Happy hunting Mick!
