Used to do the same thing with my 96 AWD Astro too. Had factory towing, so it had the class 3, and 3.73'* with a G80 rear. Went anywhere. I pulled tons of stuff out with that. Just on Michelin LTX'*, no snow tires needed. Just a good AWD system and 4.3L Vortec torque.
When I'm done paying off the Buick, I'm going hunting for another one!
