When I met my wife some 7 years ago, she told me a story about her real father. His name is Saeed Altahow. Saeed is originally from Kuwait. He was in the states studying when he met my mother-in-law (Debbie). They got married and had 4 kids.
One night, a couple of weeks after my wife (Sarah) was born, they got into an argument. Saeed took off with 2 of the kids. Mohammed who was 5, and Hameeda who was 2. He left behind Ali (Alex) and my wife. Debbie raised her two remaining kids all by herself. Mohammed flew out to the states last year to go to take some classes in New York. Then he flew into Indy and spent 3 days with us before flying back home.

Fast-forward to today.

Tomorrow morning, Hameeda (now 27) and her family will be flying into Chicago. You can imagine the excitement. I can't decide who is more excited, Debbie who hasn't seen her daughter in 25 years, or my wife who'* never (really) met her sister. Her flight comes in at 6:20pm at O'hare. She'* spent the last week on the west coast vacationing. There will be a crowd of people waiting to meet her... Alex and his family, Debbie and her new husband, and me and Sarah and our kids.

They will be staying with us for a week. You can bet it'* going to be an exciting week!

By the way, I woke up at 5 this morning to go to class. And just got back from chicago at 2:30.

I drove 578 miles from my driveway to Indy and back, then to Chicago and back.

I'm going to bed now.
