Default any exciting stories from your evenings' festivities?

we just had a little get-together with family and stuff, small fireworks show that i was in charge of...had one particular firework scare the crap outta me.....you know those mortar cannon deals? where you stick the ball down in the tube and then light a super long fuse....well i was finishing up with one of those, and normally theyd been going up to the stratosphere and exploding so i was standing relatively close to the tube, well the last one i did decided to go off about 7 or 8 feet out of the tube, which translates to really close to the ground and me just about dropped an f-bomb on thatn

I was at the Muskegon Michigan air show all day yesterday.. Let me tell you what, that was the most awesome air show I have ever seen! They opened it with a robot that looked like a teranasourus (sp) rex and was about 5 stories tall. This dinosaur was grabbing cars that were parked on the airport runway for show. It would pick up the cars, crunch them with its claws, breath fire onto them (setting them ablaze) then it would tear them in two peices and drop them. In all it destroyed about 3 cars. It was the most awesome thing I've seen, it'* too bad I forgot my camera!

Then they had a re-enactment of the pearl harbor bomibing. They used plains that were similar to the plains that japan used to bomb us. They wer epainted the same color, etc. They used dynamite and gasoline to similate the explosions.. Even though this was happening about 400 yards from where you were sitting, it still felt like the real thing. The smoke , noise, and smell was unbelievable. Definately makes me not to want to go to war!!

Next was the F14 flight demonstration. They had an F14 Tomcat demonstrate its handling and speed capabilities.. Let me tell you what, those things are LOUD! I thought I would go deaf when he did his high speed fly-by! Damn... those things can fly..

THe show ended with a 45 minute show from the Canadian SnowBirds. Those guys are amazinginly talented. They get so close that they look like they're going to crash into each other. It wouldu take real guts and talent to do what they do. Some of their maneuvers placed them only a few feet apart from each other All in all, this was one AWESOME air show. I just wish so bad that I had my camera so I could show you a few pictures from the day.. :(
